Georgia Swarm Fan Appreciation & GLL Night

Saturday, April 28 is Fan Appreciation Night and marks the final regular season home game of 2018. Stay in your seats at halftime and after the game for special music performances by American rock band Lifehouse!

Atlanta Community Lacrosse Clinic at KSU

Atlanta Youth Lacrosse and STAR (Students that Accept Responsibility) volunteers will be hosting a community lacrosse clinic along with the MLL Atlanta Blaze professional lacrosse team and the Georgia Lacrosse Chapter.

The clinic will take place on Sunday, April 22nd at Kennesaw State University(Owls Nest) at 10:00 AM and all clinic participants will receive a T-Shirt, Lunch and autograph session with Atlanta Blaze Players.  After the clinic all players will attend the Atlanta Blaze Opening Game vs the Florida Launch.

Archer's Flynt Sisters Provide Spark

Flynt Sisters provide the spark for Archer lacrosse team

The Archer girls lacrosse team does bi-weekly physical evaluations to keep the players accountable, but head coach Leslie Stuart has to keep the results a secret from sisters Jessica and Emily Flynt.

“They’re so competitive with one another,” Stuart said, “but they’ve never had a fight or even a disagreement on the field.”

Two years apart, they’re best friends.

 

“One of my friends asked me the other day, ‘Do you and your sister even hang out other than on the lacrosse field?’” said Jessica, a senior this year. “I said, ‘Yeah, actually we have plans for tonight. We’re going to hang out and go to the movies.’”

CHAA 6th Graders Breaking Down Stereotypes

Georgia Swarm forward Shayne Jackson did his friend Jeff Olivo a favor. Jackson caught up with the 12-year-old Collins Hill Gwinnett Lacrosse League team and gave them a brief lesson on the nuances of box lacrosse.

“We put on a little box clinic and did some shooting drills at the tennis courts,” Jackson said. “It was fun.

“As long as you’re playing, it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from.”
