The GLL is proud to offer two nationally recognized programs for introducing younger players to boys and girls lacrosse. This will be our fifth year for Girls Sticklets and it has been so popular that we will offer the Boys Jr. Laxer program alongside Sticklets this Spring. These programs include several weeks of Gwinnett based Saturday-only activities that give our participants a fun environment to learn and develop the basic skills to play higher levels of lacrosse. We start out with entertaining drills each week with light competition led by our experienced adult coaches and player volunteers to build confidence and muscle memory of a variety of fundamentals. Over the course of the program, each participant interacts with all of our coaches and kids of similar age building up to some fun child to parent instruction (the kids' favorite day) and an exhibition on the Gwinnett Lacrosse League's Championship Weekend.
You can register your boy or girl at one of our GLL member associations below.
The registration cost is $100 and includes a tshirt and practice pinnie. Additional equipment is necessary such as a girls lacrosse stick, girls lacrosse goggles and a mouth guard for girls. For boys, required equipment includes a youth lacrosse helmet, a boys lacrosse stick, lacrosse gloves, elbow pads and shoulder pads.
